Equipment GUI

• A new GUI allowing players to view detailed information about their equipment has been implemented.
• The GUI includes:
  • A paginated list displaying clickable thumbnails of every upgradable piece of equipment in your inventory, worn, or held in your hands.
  • An information panel displaying the prestige, level, challenge thumbnails, and experience multiplier of the selected piece of equipment.
• Due to the addition of this GUI, item tooltips have been simplified and now only display the prestige, level, and their respective progress bars.
• The default shortcut to open the GUI is R. It can be changed in the settings. To update the keybind:
  • Look for the Essor category in your keybind settings.
  • Adjust the Open the equipment GUI keybind located under that category.

New upgradable items

• The elytra is now an upgradable item.
• The turtle helmet is now an upgradable item.
  • It can gain experience underwater even without the Respiration enchantment (see the About the experience rewarding system section).
• The shears return as an upgradable item after temporarily disappearing.
  • They gain experience by gathering resources, shearing sheep, and collecting honey.

About the experience rewarding system

• When breathing underwater, the equipped helmet gains experience (0.25/t) if it is enchanted with Respiration.
• When breathing underwater, the equipped turtle helmet gains experience (0.25/t), whether or not it has Respiration.
• When flying, the equipped elytra gains experience (2.0/t).
• When crouching, the equipped leggings gain experience (0.25/t) if enchanted with Swift Sneak.
• When walking on soul sand or soul soil, the equipped boots gain experience (0.25/t) if enchanted with Soul Speed.

About the challenge system

• Added the Take damage challenge to all armor pieces.
• Added the Breathe underwater challenge to helmets and turtle helmets.
• Added the Fly long distances challenge to the elytra.
• Added leaf-related challenges to the shears.
• Added the Shear sheep challenge to the shears.

🐛 Patches

• A piece of equipment now levels up when its current experience is greater than or equal to its experience threshold.

Preventing infinite experience-farming exploits

• When holding a shield, the following actions no longer grant experience:
  • Stripping wood blocks with an axe
  • Creating dirt paths with a shovel
  • Tilling dirt blocks with a hoe
• These actions still grant experience when the player is not holding a shield in either hand.

About the enchantment rewarding system

• The game no longer crashes when an enchantment is rewarded.
• Sweeping Edge has been added to the sword reward pool.
• Mending has been added as the level-100 reward for every piece of equipment.

About challenges

• The Mine deepslate challenge has been added to the pickaxe.
• The Eliminate slimes and magma cubes challenge now properly registers slime kills.
• The Dig dirt challenge now correctly registers grass block digging.

🔮 Additional information

This is, by far, the biggest content update I have ever released for Essor—possibly even for all my projects. I hope you will enjoy it. I know the previous update was not up to the standards I aim for, with bugs and a limited number of features. I went through difficult times at college and in my personal life, and I hope you will understand.
